Loyola Raping

Being a 17 year old in an all girl catholic high school seems like a pretty safe scenario.  For most of us we will be going off to college next year and living on our own.  For many IHA girls Loyola University is a top choice.  But i'm sure many of you did not hear about the Loyola University raping.  Colin Kennedy is an 18 year old from Laguna Beach, California seemingly to be a normal college freshman at Loyola University.  But in fact he was charged with raping two freshman girls after they let him sleep in their dorm.  Kennedy had asked if he could sleep in their room because he could not get into his dorm.  The girls were familiar with the boy and allowed him to sleepover.  Loyola is known to be a very safe university and the girls just thought they were helping out a friend.  For those of you who are going off to college this year or the next this article would be very beneficial to brush up on. Sexual assault is a violent crime and can traumatize someone for the rest of their life.  IHA girls are very intelligent and have a mind of their own.  This is a very practical situation that could have caught anyone off guard.  Hopefully after reading this, we will all take a step back and realize that this could have been one of us.
